FAQs

1) What is Adoption Medicine?

Children who join families through adoption may have special health, behavioral and developmental needs. Adoption medicine addresses those needs with the family in all phases of the adoption journey. Learn more about Adoption Medicine:

2) Is it really necessary to have an adoption medicine file review before I adopt?

Absolutely!

Some agencies require it. Others recommend it. We think it is a great idea so that you might arm yourself with knowledge and make the best decision for your growing family!

But don’t just take our word for it:

3) Do you accept insurance?

The short answer is: no. Since the child is not yet on your insurance plan, we are not able to bill insurance for our services. Payment plans can be arranged if that will help you to pay for this invaluable service.

4) I don’t live in Colorado. Can I still use Comprehensive Adoption Medicine Consultants?

Yes! Although we are located in Colorado, we are able to provide our adoption medicine services, to many families across the country and around the world! Dr. Todd is available by phone, email and even video chat. Please contact us and we can help determine if our services are available in your location.
